The name is inspired by Spoon Theory, a powerful metaphor used for the limited energy a person with chronic illness, mental health conditions, other disabilities might have. It gives an empowering and empathetic language for communication to the self and to others, inducing self-compassion and assertiveness.

Hello, I'm Betilda Jhansi — Betty, for short.
Every person who walks into therapy carries a story. Not just one — many, layered and tangled, shaped by the worlds we've moved through: our families, our bodies, our communities, the systems that held us or failed us. My work begins there, with your story, and with the belief that you are never just your problem.
I'm a therapist rooted in Narrative Practice — which means I see you as the expert on your own life. My role isn't to diagnose or fix, but to sit alongside you as we explore the stories that have defined you, question the ones that have confined you, and make space for new ones to emerge.
This is held within a trauma-informed, feminist foundation that takes seriously the forces shaping your story — race, gender, caste, sexual orientation, disability, neurodiversity. These aren't side notes to therapy; they're central to it. I also bring my full personhood into the room: genuine presence, collaborative curiosity, and the occasional dad joke.
Where it's useful, I draw on tools from ACT, DBT, and SFBT to build on your strengths and move toward the life you want.
My practice is kink-aware, anti-caste, and trauma-informed. I work with individuals and couples (18–40) navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, BPD, ADHD, suicidal ideation, relationship difficulties, sexual dysfunction, work stress, and menstrual health.
If something here resonates — I'd love to hear your story.
